Sticky Notes: Can I Cross-Off When It's Done?

Question:

Can I highlight something on my Sticky-Noted "to do" list and change the font to "strikeout" so it's crossed off and I know it's done?  Or do I just delete the item?

Answer:

You can select part of a sticky note and Use Ctrl+T to apply strike-through .

My preference, however, is to use a Sticky Note for one small task, and then delete it once it’s done.

There’s a satisfactory feeling for screwing up a physical sticky-note into a ball and tossing it into the vermicomposter once the small task is completed. The same feeling comes with deleting Sticky-Notes.
