This was our first paddle together, and while at the time I did not have a digital camera and so did not record the trip, it was an incentive for me to GET a digital camera. The trip, therefore, predates May 28th 2005!

We launched a hundred yards or so south of the bridge at the intersection of Bridge Street and Canal Road, off Pump House Road, in fact.

Not a very ambitious paddle, but since I was new to the game, the best possible – calm water, little flow, and a sheltered course.

And yes, I tipped us in through my inexperience.
