Select ALL-BUT

You already know about Select-All – using the Click[scroll]-Shift-Click technique, or, if you’re brilliant, Ctrl-A.

Here’s how to select ALL BUT three of those files in that folder containing hundreds of files:

(1) Select all the files (using Click-Shift-Click or Ctrl-A)

(2) Hold down the Ctrl-key

(3) While holding down the Ctrl-key, Click on the one, two or three individual files you DON’T want to copy; or delete.

It beats the heck out of Clicking each individual file.

P.S. Bonus tip: If you find yourself scrolling down a pane or window, remind yourself that in Windows There are Four Ways of Doing Everything, and there’s always a better way!
