I have a strange fascination for headlines of this type. “It was like being in a war-zone” and I wonder if the citizen has ever been in a war zone. I have yet to see “It felt as if my head had been chopped off”, but any day now …

For what its worth I do know what it is like when a car hits a house , so now I suppose that I can write that “it felt like a 3.3 magnitude earthquake hot my island”.
