My Gut Bacteria

I read recently that three-quarters of the bacteria housed in my body live in my gut. My gut bacteria serve to break down the food I eat so that it can be converted into Proteins, Amino acids, energy and all the other stuff that keeps me alive.

I have read too that animal life differs from vegetable life in that animal life has a brain. And that animal life needs a brain to control limbs. And that limbs are needed so that we can forage for food.

So Deer roam and forage for grass, tigers roam and forage for deer, and humans roam to shoot tigers, but do not use the tiger meat as food, which makes tiger hunting an unnatural act. But humans will use their limbs to hunt for deer, and then eat the deer.

It is a temporarily humbling thought that this great brain of mine (blush!) that for fifty-five years has programmed computers exists really to serve bacteria, specifically, the bacteria that has populated my gut.
