Getting Home

This series started off as a little paper on braking distance (boring), but as I resurrect my old thoughts, I just know it will turn into a cacophony of ideas.

The main title is based on the premise that we head off in automobile vehicles (cars, buses, trucks) and do something, but then want to return home. We want to get home quickly for a variety of reasons

We’ve been away too long.

We miss our loved ones (spouse, children, cat, books, music)

We are hungry

We have a full bladder

Picture yourself stuck in peak-hour traffic, getting nowhere fast, and wonder why we are all doing 25 KM/hour on a nine-lane highway that can accommodate (illegal) speeds of up to 140KM/h.

Good. That’s where we will start.

There is some basic physics and arithmetic in here, but you should not feel threatened. In any event, if you are unsure, have a friend check out my logic and math’s.
