I had 3 hours to complete the test, I used only 2 hours and 40 minutes, and got 85% !!
Hi Chris,
I finally got around to write you about the Indexer. What a life saver! After we did a walk-through, and you made some minor adjustments, it went as a breeze through the 280 pages I needed to work with on my exams. Using the filter allowed me to set my own criteria. It generated an extensive list of key words in about 10 minutes, fully automated. If I should have used the Microsoft Word feature, it would have taken me several days, because then I actually had to re-read the entire document, and mark every word I wanted to have in my index-list.
Instead, I could now read the paper based document on the bus and on the train. Once home again, I just told Indexer to create a first draft of all words between length 4 to 26 characters, no numbers (didn't need to have reference to years and dates) . Of course my Index list was far too extensive, but if I wanted, as you explained, I could clean up the list very easily. Didn't had the time to do so, but it proved to be a very effective way to find WHATEVER I was searching for in the text.
I had 3 hours to complete the test, I used only 2 hours and 40 minutes, and got 85% !!
Thank you Indexer !!!

Indexing was a new task for me
"Indexing was a new task for me (I have done hundreds of table-of-content setups) and it appeared to be an overwhelming task.
I have been able to save literally days worth of time by being able to adjust my concordance table to include industry-specific words and to delete words I don't want included in the index.
I initially ran the Indexer 'Interesting Words' function to create a starting point.
By appending the document's glossary and my user-defined dictionary into my concordance table, I was able to completely index a 215 page document in minutes and, after going through the document to see what was missed and adding those words/phrases into my concordance table, I have created an organic concordance table that can be added to and used for all future indexing projects with very minor additions."

Chris, I tried your Indxr software
- for creating an index for a fairly large document.
The only way I can describe my reaction is “WOW”.
Even I, a self-proclaimed “techno-idiot” can make this work.
I always prefer the simple approach to getting things done. What can be simpler that one click of the mouse and waiting for a few seconds.
Be assured that I will highly recommend Indxr to anyone who wants to create an index for any document.

One of My Clients,
- a man by the name of Chris Greaves, has created a one-click Index creating tool called Indexer.
He has a free version and paid version available and he’s interested in getting feedback on it. You can download it at: www.Indxr.ca .
I love this product! It runs through a Word document and creates an Index at the end rather than the tedious mark-up work that we currently have to do now in Word.
I strongly suspect that Bill Gates will be calling this gentleman in the near future to buy these tools from him.

Save Time Indexing Using Microsoft Word
Julia Wooster has generously lavished well-deserved praise in her latest blog, whose link appears below.

Julia says, in part "We’ve timed it and it seems to average about one second per page. Chris shows how easy it is (in the YouTube video )."

I'm VERY Excited
- to learn about your program, as I have been researching other indexing programs, wanting to offer that service to my clients, but have found the cost of most of them to be prohibitive. If you're not already enjoying phenomenal success with this program, you soon will once it gets into the mainstream, and you will be the new darling of transcription apps! - Karen :)

I Literally Said Wow
– sitting alone in my office, skeptical as I was, when I clicked on Indxr and it produced that nicely formatted, nicely done index, I was talking to myself, saying, wow, it works.
The big surprise is how slick it works. I was waiting for the wheels to turn, churning away, and thinking about getting another cup of coffee, but before I could move, the index was done…in a matter of seconds. Seconds!!
Every noun in the document was captured, alphabetized, and prettily displayed at the end of the document.
I remember spending three (long) evenings one summer to achieve the same result. And yet, this was more thorough in five seconds than the efforts of those three evenings.

Chris,
It was a pleasure to help you test your Indexer program.
I absolutely love it! It makes creating indexes in Word documents a breeze!
I look forward to other great products.
As a Virtual Assistant, saving my clients time and money is important to me, so I’m thrilled to be able to let clients know that I can set up an index in a document for them now.

I Have Literally HUNDREDS
- of software packages that I have put to use since starting my business 13 years ago - some have come and gone, others have been around forever, and some are new. I love many of them, but it is rare that I actually get excited about them.
But I have to say this is one that I am VERY, VERY excited about and can't wait to put to good use and spread the word about. You are a genius, and I can't wait to put your brain to good use!

Did I Mention I Showed it to the Boss ?
- and he is really happy about not having to suffer through me doing it by hand? (and whining the whole time... HAH) He doesn't know about Goddess so has no clue about where I come up with the little 'gadgets' that make my life (and his) so much better.
Can I play with more of your programs after I'm done getting this one to behave? Puh-leeeze??? I LOVE this stuff!

I Have Been Helping a Client
- test some add-ins that he has created for Microsoft Word. The latest and greatest is a 1-click indexer which runs through a Word document and creates an index at the end of the document, eliminating the time-consuming task of marking up the document and then generating the index. I ran it through a 56 page document this morning and it created the index within 54 seconds.
