Wider Scroll Bars

I occasionally use the mouse to scroll a pane up and down, or left and right. I find the scroll bars a tad narrow.

Here’s how to widen the scroll bars.

On the Desktop, Right-Click and choose Properties from the pop-up menu that appears,

Chose the Appearance tab.

Click on the Advanced command button

From the Item list box select “Scrollbar”

Change the size from 16 to, say, 32 (You will see the changes taking place in the preview panel)

Confirm out of there.

In the screenshot above note the many bonuses (bonii? bonusai? bonsai?!!).

My drop-down lists have wider arrows.

My scroll-bar arrows are wider.

To reset everything back to defaults, in the Appearance tab choose “Windows Classic Style”, and then choose ‘Windows XP Style”.
