CTRL-LEFT-ARROW - To Move One Word to the Left

In most Windows applications, holding down the CTRL key and tapping the LEFT ARROW key will move the cursor one word to the left.

In a word-processing document, you will move leftwards to the next space or punctuation character.

In a spreadsheet you will move to the next boundary of data.

In the text box formed from the File save As dialogue box, you will move one element of the filename to the left.

In a memo field of a database table or query, you will move leftwards to the next space or punctuation character.

If, like me, you still make use of the DOS-like command-line prompt, CTRL-LEFT-ARROW moves you one word to the left.
