CLICK-CTRL - Collections of Cells, Rows, Columns, Files, Cats, Dogs, …
You will use this in your work with spreadsheets, and you’ll find it of great use in Windows Explorer.
I urge you to try using it in every other application, for text, graphics, files, charts, any object at all.
In a spreadsheet, hold down the CTRL key and maintain it down. Now click your mouse on various cells.
Let go the CTRL key and let go the mouse; your spreadsheet shows that you have selected a collection of cells.
Repeat the experiment, this time selecting blocks of cells by click-and-dragging while holding down the CTRL key.
Try again, this time selecting collections of ROWS by clicking on the rwo identifier at the left-hand end of each row. Again this time with column identifiers.
Don’t stop now! Make a Collection of some cells, some rows, and some columns.
In Windows Explorer, use the CTRL key in conjunction with the mouse to make a collection of files and/ or folders which you can then copy as a single unit.
