CTRL-A - To Select all the Text
In almost any document, workbook or window pane. Hold down the CTRL key and tap the letter A to select the entire pane.
In a Word Processing Document, you will select all the text; in a Spreadsheet you will select all the cells.
No wrist-ache with the mouse. No mistakes caused by not dragging the mouse far enough down the document.
Windows knows what it has, and what it is asked to do, and it will be one hundred percent certain that you have selected all your data.
Try it in Windows File Explorer: Ctrl-A will select all displayed files and/or folders. That makes it easy to copy a batch of files.
Try it in your Browser Window; Ctrl-A will select the contents of the browser window, then you can copy (CTRL-C) and paste (CTRL-V) to your heart’s contentment.
