ALT Key to Explore Menus
Most Windows applications display a menu; you are probably familiar with the File menu in Word and Excel
When faced with a new application, give yourself 60 seconds to explore its capabilities using the ALT key to access the menu system.
Try this in Word, or in Excel:
Hold down the ALT key and tap the letter “F”.
The File menu appears.
Let go the ALT key, the File menu remains in view.
Then tap the right-arrow key repeatedly and glance at each of the main menu lists.
Now try the experiment in an application you have never used.
