Modes

I offer public training courses - where you can join users from other organizations in a common shared-cost day or more of training.

I offer private training courses - where you as an individual, or as an organization, can benefit by focusing on a training course customized to your needs.

I offer FREE correspondence training courses - where you as an individual can receive emails at a rate best suited to your needs, on a variety of topics. Such courses are designed to give you an introduction to a complex topic such as VBA, or to boost and refresh your skills (for example "Windows Tips") without having to leave your desk.

Powerful Engines

Powerful Engines allow us to build several applications based on one or more pre-coded chunks of code.

Development is rapid.

The classic example (at least from my point of view!) is the Interesting Words engine. This chunk of code is rules-based and will extract interesting words from any chunk of text (document, paragraph, sentence etc.).

Armed with this data, quantitative analysis (count of unique Interesting Words) allows us to develop intelligent operations.

The simplest example is, of course, the one-click Indexer. Extracting Interesting Words from a document allows us to build a concordance table, and a concordance table allows us to auto mark Index entries.

A better example is the use of Interesting Words to rank each paragraph in a document, detect a change in rank between paragraph sets, nominate that as a place for a "Heading" style paragraph of the appropriate level to be inserted, and to generate a fair guess at the text that should appear in the heading!
