Why Free?

"I wanted to let people know how amazing the world can be", said Chris. "Most users don't know how to create an Index, and those that do know how don't want to spend the time inserting all those pesky little {XE} fields."

Chris has measured the time it takes to create an index for a 40-page document. "If you're very good you can insert 3 index fields per minute over a stretch of about three hours", he noted, "but who wants to spend three hours doing a boring and repetitive task?".

He's Right

He's right, and he continues in that vein: "After only 60 minutes, you’re missing key words, losing interest in the job, skipping a page or two and hoping no one will notice".

So how does Chris create an index for a 40-page document?

"I click here," he responds, using a small button on a toolbar, "and then I wait for thirty seconds".

30 seconds later a 3-column index magically springs to life at the foot of a 30-page document.

There's much more to it than this, he says, but the 1-click indexing button alone is worth the price of this application.
