What About Third-Party Triggers?
What about a third-party trigger, such as an AutoSave macro? Such a macro is issued on behalf of the user by a system OnTime (or similar) event. Every so-many minutes a macro is invoked to issue a File SaveAll (or File saveActive). (If the Tools, options, save interval is set to zero, the macro checks again in one minute).
Such a trigger operates automatically on behalf of the user. It is as if the user had paused work to issue a File save or File saveAll manually.
For that reason, and Autosave trigger should follow the same logic as a File save or a File SaveAll.
Notes
A third-party trigger can detect the presence of MRUse and then invoke MRUse’s pSave cover function or the native Word application’s Document.Save as it sees fit.
