Access is different
The Access Object Model, we are told, is “different” from Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
From time to time you will run across things that don’t make sense to you. It may be that the “Object Model is Different”, or it may just be that we don’t yet understand what’s going on.
Here is an example. Most times when we want to delete an item in a collection, we specify the item, then tap the period key and select Delete. With this you’d expect to be generating this:
dbs.TableDefs(strCourse).Delete
However in Access you need to produce this:
dbs.TableDefs.Delete strCourse
Go, as they say, Figure!
