Readability

The readability macros provide a means of measuring the CHANGE in readability of your documents.

Why the Change? Because everybody's definition of readability differs, but no matter what the measure, a change in value indicates the direction in which your editing takes you.

Blog

The Blog macro delivers a composite set of statistics on the current state of the document.

Running the Blog macro a second time will show the previous run's figures leading into the current state.

Complexity

Complexity measures the average score for each unique word in the document, where the score is the count of synonyms that are longer than the given word.

Comprehension

Comprehension measures the average length of sentences, with a higher score being given for short sentences.

CountUniqueParagraphs

The number of unique paragraphs is shown.

CountUniqueWords

The number of unique words is shown.

CountWords

The number of words is shown.

Empathy

The ratio of first-person words (i've, i'm, i'll, i) to second-person words (we've, we're, we'll, we, you, your, you've, you'll) is shown.

FOGIndex

The FOGIndex macro delivers a simplified version of the Gunning fog index .

"The resulting number is an indication of the number of years of formal education that a person requires in order to easily understand the text on the first reading"

InfoBlogToProperties

The Blog Info string is written to a custom value in the File, properties box.

NumberOfPages

The number of pages is shown.

PrecisSentences

A fast and crude précis of the current document is written to a new document.

The précis consists of first-sentences (of paragraphs) where the sentence is more than 12 words in length.

TypeBlogStatistics

The Blog Info data is typed at the current selection point.
