Today I set off on Vacation. I am driving around Newfoundland, every Major Highway, about 5,000 kilometres in all. Look at a road map of the island and you will see that there are five or six legs which have to be travelled twice – out there, and back again along the same highway. There are five or six Peninsulas, some of which lend themselves to a tour around the peninsula, some of which are out-and-back trips. The miles add up ...
I rose early, found by 5:30 cab waiting for me downstairs and rode in style off to the Island Airport.
