Running Slower - Startup
Start, Run, type "MsConfig", Enter.
Choose the "Startup" tab.
On a piece of paper (not a computer document, a real piece of paper), make a note of those items you think you don't need to be started at startup (and hence potentially running in the background) BEFORE you uncheck the box.
Exit and restart your computer.
Run like this for a few days to see if it makes any difference.
