My Right-Hand Ctrl Key Isn't Behaving Properly.
If you have ever cleaned your keyboard by removing the keys, there's a strong chance that you've replaced the non-printing keys in the wrong order. I know. Because I've done it.
Essay carefully with the other non-printing keys to see if any others exhibit aberrant behaviour. If they do, switching the keys might just do the trick.
At a pinch, the manuals that arrived with your computer might contain a readable view of the keyboard.
