Shift Into Reverse Gear
So there you are, happily riding around on the Alt-tab carousel (to switch between applications) or the Tab carousel (to learn about a dialog box), and you've swept past where you want to be.
No need to go all the way round again, just hold down the Shift key while tapping the Alt-Tab or tab keys, and you'll go backwards.
That was easy!
