Modifying The Driving Batch File

The serial processing of the driving batch file remains the same.

We wait for all the backup drives to aome on line, and then

We process to all the backup drives.

Why would we not iterate through a process of waiting for a single drive, backing up to that single drive, then moving on to the next drive, so that drives could be taken off line as they were completed?

We elected to write a single-click unattended system, so we anticipate all the operator intervention to take place at the start of the process; we do not want an operator sitting by waiting for each backup drive to be processed.

Backup.BAT

TITLE %0 effect a backup of a local system
::
:: Set the fixed parameters
::
Set Home=C:\SAFE\
Set Backup=X Y
Set LogFile=C:\Safe\LogFile.LOG
Set WaitTime=10
::
:: Wait until the backup drive is mounted
::
call %Home%WaitBack %Backup% %WaitTime%
::
:: Process each valid drive
::
call %Home%AllDrive %Backup%%Computername%
::
:: Make an entry in our log
::
call %Home%LogBack %LogFile%
::
:: Copy the log to the backup drive
::
Copy %LogFile% %Backup%
::
:: Shutdown the Computer system
::
call %Home%ShutDown.BAT
::
REM END

We modify our driving batch file to function on a pair of drives, X:\ and Y:\.
